Have you ever had one of those seasons where it feels like the walls are caving in?
Like you just can’t go on anymore because your plan has taken a nosedive?

That time you find yourself throwing your hands in the air and yelling, ‘that’s it… I’m done… I’m over all of this.’

Well, I’m here to encourage you.

You can go on.
You will fulfill your purpose.
You will be glad that you held on.

I write this from first hand experience.
Those in my inner circle will attest to the fact that I too have temper tantrum moments… and on occasion through the snot and tears have made some rather ridiculous comments.
Thankfully, His grace trumps it all.

I was reminded recently that at the core of walking in purpose is giving up the right to do things our way.

This reminder was all thanks to an amazing young lady (that’s a blog for another day – an old soul with the biggest heart, full of potential and promise), who (unconsciously) made me realise that it’s easier to take the lessons from the pain and press on.

Don’t fight the process.
As the purpose unfolds, there’s a process running parallel and so instead of walking/working against the grain… just surrender.

We don’t need to know all the details but simply trust implicitly that it’s all going to pan out as it should – Romans 8:28.

When we choose to walk in purpose, our feelings, emotions and self-imposed deadlines take a back seat because it’s **never** about us.

It’s about a bigger plan, all orchestrated by the Master Himself.
A purpose that drives kindness, peace, hope and compassion. A purpose that comes to life when we choose to serve with (unconditional) love.

So… wherever you find yourself in this moment, I pray that you never choose to stop living on purpose… and just trust the process.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

It’s never too late to liberate yourself.

And boy oh boy, your days will be so much more sweeter, when you choose to draw that proverbial line.

Let no one steal your joy.

Let no one rain on your parade.

Let no one question your passion.

Let no one quench your enthusiasm.

Let no one diminish your worth through action or deed.

Let no one stop the flow of love in your life – the love that you so freely give and receive.

Let no one derail your Divine purpose. Ever.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

This post came about as a result of me watching Manchester United in action. The boys in red bring out the best and worst in me.

That’s *my* team and I am prone to coaching from the couch. After a brief scream from having witnessed a missed goal, I then wondered about my future husband and wondered about him…

Dear Future Husband,

I must concede from the get go that I can’t wait for that moment when I finally get to say, wow, this was so worth the wait.

You see, through all the tears and frustration of “waiting”, I know that our union is more than the happy ever after chapter. Our union is more than having a significant other, the exchange and expression of true love and memories created; we have a Divine purpose to fulfill.

That Divine plan can only unfold and be realised through grace, open hearts, unwavering faith and a deep commitment to walk boldly and in complete obedience. I know that we have much to do as individuals and as a couple; and that thought excites me.

Have I mentioned that I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you?!

I pray for you daily and smile with appreciation at the fact that God has you secured safely in the palm of His hand; waiting for that perfect time.

I often wonder whether we’ve met before…
I often wonder if you’re the one that I’ve been secretly crushing on.
I often wonder if you’re the one that I met on that overcast day in that hospital ward – no words exchanged just a look that spoke volumes, sent my pulse and heart rate to the moon and left me at a complete loss for words.

I guess only time will tell…

And so my love, as I return to the second half of this Manchester United game, I know that our forever is going to be worth the wait.

Till then I hope that you too will keep the faith.

Your one & only,
Future Wife

Thank you for taking the time to read.

One of my very dear friends sent me a text: “I noticed you haven’t posted a blog for a while now – what’s the deal? No excuses.”

Boom.
Busted.

The truth is I’ve been working round the clock so any “free time” I have is spent either catching a nap or thinking about… Shanghai. Yes, you read right. I might be based in South Africa but my heart is in Shanghai.
Now that’s a topic for another time.

In my last post I mentioned that the last few weeks were somewhat challenging (with amazing revelations) and there were lessons to be shared. In no particular order, allow me to encourage you:

* If your life is centred on God you shall stand the test of time. Why? Because when you are at your weakest His grace sustains you.

* The way someone chooses to react to you or the way you conduct yourself is not about you.

* People will talk, let them… the ones assigned to your inner circle and who know your worth/ value don’t entertain those assertions.

* You don’t have to sell your soul to be part of the popular clique – this is not high school. Your authenticity sets you apart.

* There may be times you feel as though you are standing alone (cue: Celine Dion’s All by Myself…) stand anyhow. Separation is vital as you evolve.

* There are times it feels like the curveballs are coming at you every minute of every day. You will survive.

* Don’t hold into something or someone longer than you should. Once the purpose has been served let it/ them go…

* Stop. Reflect. Refocus.

And while on the point of focus, if you visit this page then you know that I’m a big fan of perspective. I was fortunate to cross paths with a gentleman called Willem; of all the places it was on the streets of Twitter.

Talk about inspiring and offering a different perspective… during our exchange I realised that no matter how busy I am, it should not take me away from the thing I love most… writing.

You can find out more about Willem:

And so wonderful person reading this, take this this thing we call LIFE in your stride. Make time for your passion and as you edge closer to your Divine purpose, your heart will swell with a sense of fulfillment and gratitude.

Stay favoured and fabulous x
